Okay you Hebrew geeks out there - does this say 'hesed'?
UPDATE: My Old Testament professor friend says it doesn't. Stay tuned...

I'm gonna say no... Had to look it up, found "hamad" - "desire, take pleasure"

I am a Hebrew idiot, but isn't that hamad (which I think is covet) or something like that?

Here is a link I found that has the word hesed written on the page in Hebrew (forget the actual content of the page since it looks like wacky crap anyway :-)

Oh yeah, my friend saved me from having 'precious' permanantly tattooed on my ankle.

It's ok Lorna, it's not actually on there. This is just a sketch.

I don't know, ws, "precious" on your ankle could be very, very special

Me, on the other hand, would have enjoyed calling you precious from here on out.

In fact, I may still do that.

Hey. What are friends for?

"Desirable object" is the exact translation - so go right ahead.

Ok. all I can think of when I hear "precious" is Gollum (Smeagol) from Lord of the Rings....

I'm hoping to get Psalm 133.1 around my wrist or ankle someday - it sounds even better in Hebrew than it does in English.

I do love that the tattoo posts are labeled "self care." Damn straight.
