VOLUME II: When the lessons of the past catapult you into the future.
I will be riveted--riveted--to the screen!
I'll be there too. With bells on.
Bells Sue... or purple socks?!
I'll be at work, but I can listen to Oprah on my Walkman, and I will. The "Donny and Marie Show" was my favorite when I was a kid. They're so frickin' cute!
I'm a little bit country... I just set up the my dvr... I'm a little bit rock and roll...
Ya gotta admit...the boy did age better than many of his counter culture heros. Hubba Hubba!
Once when my family lived overseas, we went to a restaurant that was playing the Donnie and Marie show in Turkish with Greek subtitles. Very surreal . . .
With the sense of humor that most of you have I first thought that this was a joke. But now I think you are serious. And I am afraid, very afraid.Clearly there needs to be a new class in seminary with a followup question on ords: Explain how Donnie and Marie (and David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman) are the spawn of satan. And how they in turn spawned American Idol.
The show was fabulous!!! Donny sang "Puppy Love" - *sigh* - you may not be aware that he wrote it for me back in the day. I'm just sayin'...
Oh my gosh, Sue - it was wonderful! Marie has always been a tad annoying but of COURSE she had to fight for the spotlight with all of those older brothers so I will give her a break.AND, I have my new benediction for Sunday:May tomorrow be a perfect day, may you find love and laughter along the way and may God keep you in his tender care, 'til he brings us together again... GOODBYE everybody!
Will--I don't think that benediction is sufficiently Trinitarian . . .
Note to ceemac: You are correct re: the Osmonds and Cassidy. But leave Bobby Sherman out of this.
As one who somewhere has a personally autographed picture of David Cassidy - and a shirt he actually wore on The Partridge Family - I take offense at the aspersions cast against David Cassidy! (I was 9 - what did I know of his off-screen antics!) *snickers* (My mom had a friend whose sister was the hairdresser for the show).
Bobby Sherman wrote his most famous song about me.Just sayin'.
